O nas
The territories of the Harsányi Winery are found in the Eastern part of Tokaj-Hegyalja right under one of the most beautiful hiking destinations, the tarn on Megyer Hill near Sárospatak. The core of the vineyard was purchased by Jakab Rick - my great-great-grandfather - in 1850. I took over the management of the winery in 2012 when my father got retired. Stepping out of the family business I expanded the size of land and changed to more modern organic viniculture and wine-making technologies. As a committed handcraft wine-maker my work combines tradition, modernism and expertise well. We make wines which can show the diversity of our vineyards, the character of our terroir through which wine lovers can feel the individual nature of our wines.
Its light-bodied and more relaxed style balances a pleasantly refreshing acidity and the rounding effect of a few grams of residual sugar towards a harmonious palate. Very fine carbonation bubbles add an airiness to its flavour and highlight its playful minerality. The finish is refreshingly citrusy, with pleasantly tart notes and soft textures of a hint of sweetness that encourage further tasting. At 8-10 C⁰, it is a refreshing experience on its own, but it is also a great accompaniment to dressed salads, fish or fresh cheeses.
The wine has a particular freshness and concertation of minerality, showing notes of flint, pebbles and lime. Due to the phenolic ripeness this vintage also shows some floralness of wild meadow flowers along with peach and pear.
This wine has a fantastic flavour intensity and outstanding acidity. On the nose, it shows ripe apricot, mango and on the palate, it has a moderate level of sweetness with some classic Tokaji stony minerality which makes this wine such a good match with gently sweet deserts such as cottage cheese pancake or chestnut strudel.
